What methodological principles should be followed when examining the scientific miracles in the Holy Qurʾān?
In fact, there are three guiding principles. First, the scientific issue in question must be firmly established and possess a high degree of validity—that is, it must be a well-established fact. Second, the sign or indication relating to this scientific issue must be clearly expressed in the Holy Qurʾān. Third, it should not be claimed that such a scientific interpretation is the only possible meaning of a given verse; rather, it should be presented as one interpretation among others, reflecting the precision and subtlety of the Qurʾān’s language, even down to its diction.
